Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise

Kenai Fjords National Park was established by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act in 1980, protecting 669,984 acres of ice, rock and drowned valley on the southeastern edge of the Kenai Peninsula.

The fjords themselves are the work of subsidence. The Pacific plate slides beneath the North American plate here, dragging the coastline downward at a measurable rate.
